It’s aTime Travel theme: That’s right, we at Newmarket Rec are known for thinking out of the box for planning our crazy special events… and of course, MUSIC and OUTSIDE PLAY always go hand-in-hand! That’s why we’ll be incorporating all types of themed music weeks with our wild, and crazy Special Events with our Time Travel theme for the Summer of 2023! Adventure campers participate in a number of these sometimes wet, sometimes messy, but always loads of fun activities that will encourage their spirit and self-confidence to get up & get going!
Typical Fun in a Camp Day: When we are not in the thick of our afternoon special events activities that our camp is Guinness World Record known for, campers spend time playing all the outdoor traditional summer camp favorite games like; Kickball, Basketball, Soccer, 4 Square, Street Hockey, Jump Roping, Arts & Crafts, building Sand Castles, spending imaginative time on our enormous Playground and Swings area, and plenty of reserved time water play fun in our NEW state of the art Aqua Land splash pad!
Iguana Wanna Fridays: Not only is our Iguana Wanna Fridays a Camp Iguana Wanna exclusive, but it is also included in the Camp Price! For those new to our camp, the Iguana Wanna Friday programming is where kids have an opportunity to learn some new and interesting hobbies or recreational activities. During this program, we instruct more than 20 different activities that kids get to choose from based on their interests and preferences, like “Silly Science”, “Broadway Musicals” “Chefs in the Kitchen”, “Hip Hop”, “Lego League”, “Ceramics”, “Archery”, “Mountain Biking”, “Tennis”, “Golf”, “Treasure Hunters”, just to name a few… Yes, we said, just to name a few because there are lots more to choose from through the summer. These classes are taught by our very own counselors and/or hired instructors who are both passionate and proficient in these specialty areas.
