Newmarket’s Backyard Bash

Newmarket’s 3rd Annual Backyard Bash Community Night is once again set to be the Biggest Bash of Fun the Town has seen in years! That’s right, Newmarket Rec and even more Newmarket Organizations have TEAMED UP again on behalf of the town and community to host this fun filled Annual Backyard Bash community night event under the lights.
NEW & RETURNING FAVORITES FOR 2024
- A Fireworks Show will close the night!!
- Food Trucks and Food Options
- Food Trucks: Big Bad Food Truck, Fat Daddy’s, Reds Good Vibes, Deadproof Pizza, and Kona Ice
- Newmarket Restaurants: Wing Itz, Jonny Boston’s, Roots and Scout Burgers
- 2 Midway Zones of Vendor Booths: non-profits, crafters, & businesses. (see website for up to date list after May)
- Sound Dimension DJ’s will be rocking’ the Kid’s Zone Complex from 5pm – 9pm!
- TBA – Main Stage Live Band playing 6pm – 9pm. Stay Tuned (no pun intended)
- Water Balloon Toss Contest in honor of National Water Balloon Day!
- Family Fun Zone made up of Backyard Themed Games
- Large fenced in Beer Garden with more drink options other than beer (both non-alcohol and alcohol)
- Aqua Land Splash pad and HUGE Playground open until 8pm!
- Touch-A-Truck with Newmarket Police, Fire, and Cool Show Cars!
- Corn Hole Tourney hosted by the NBA (preregistration opening soon) first come first serve
- Local Talent on the Stage! (see website for up to date list of talent closer to date0

Please understand this entire event is a fundraiser for many of our non-profit organizations that are participating (see up to date list on website). In other words help our Newmarket non-profits help you by participating in the many “fun”draisers that will be going on this evening. Therefore, along with our many FREE participation activities that will be available, you may need to pay a small fee to play for some of the bigger attractions and contests. There will also be 50/50 Raffles and other ways to WIN lots of great prizes! So we do recommend that you bring extra cash.

To make the Backyard Bash even better this year we are hoping to gain local business support and involvement! Your involvements can happen in many ways; sponsorships, monetary donations, etc. Anything would be appreciated that helps offsets the costs of this community event. - FREE: All Newmarket/Local Non-profits (must donate raffle prize valued at $25+)
- FREE: Newmarket restaurants, food trucks, artesian/crafters (must donate raffle prize valued at $25+)
- $100: Vendor Tents Space for non-local non-profits & crafters or food trucks (limited spaces)
- $150: Vendor Tent Space for both Newmarket or non-local profits (limited spaces available)
- $TBA: Host and/or Sponsor an activity (near tent or in tent) in lieu of just PR Tent. (i.e. carnival game pay for the rental fee) Note: the sponsorship amount for this option will vary based on any rental fees or other equipment needed to be purchased in order to run a specific activity or carnival game – just give us a call!
VOLUNTEERS NEEDED & EARN MONEY FOR YOUR NON-PROFIT!
This event is a huge endeavor for the community and therefore the more volunteer help we can get – the better run the event will be. Similar to last year, we created and opportunity to raise money for your non-profit in town by donating volunteer hours. Click the “Sign Up Genius” link below on how you can be involved and help your community. Note: Some volunteer shifts require that you be 18 and over. These volunteer shifts can also be used for community service hours that your school may require.

Note: This page will be updated as we gain permission from other nearby parking lots. Last year we had a total of 8 nearby parking lots. We are hoping to have access to 10 nearby parking lots this year.

Can I bring my dog or pet?
No – the entire complex is already a NO DOGS ALLOWED complex. However, Certified Service Dogs are, of course, allowed.
Do I have to pay the whole suggested price to get in?
We will accept any contribution at the door. The suggested donation prices are $5 per person (under 2 years of age free) & $20 / per immediate family.
Once I am in can I leave the premises and then come back?
Yes, provided you still have your wrist band which you will receive upon entry.
Can I smoke or use e cigarettes?
No the entire complex is already a Non-Smoking Facility.
Can I bring a blanket or chair for the fireworks?
Yes, however, there will be several designated locations to store them prior to opening up the large field for placement closer to the time of the show.
