Newmarket’s Annual Backyard Bash Community Night is once again set to be the Biggest Bash of Fun the Town has seen in years! That’s right, Newmarket Rec and even more Newmarket Organizations have TEAMED UP again on behalf of the town and community to host this fun filled Annual Backyard Bash community night event under the lights. Note: This event page will be constantly be updated as we move closer to the event date.
ENTRY FEES
- $5 Entry Fee (suggested donation / person)
- $20/Family (2 & under FREE) Credit Cards: Visa, MC, Discover, and Cash at Gate
- Wristbands will be given for re-entry.

VOLUNTEERS NEEDED & EARN MONEY FOR YOUR NON-PROFIT!
We created an opportunity to raise money for your non-profit in town by donating volunteer hours. These volunteer shifts can also be used for community service hours that your school may require. To date many of our volunteer spots for the 2024 event have already been filled. Please call the Rec @ 603-659-8581 directly for more information.

FUN WATER BALLOON FACT: 💦
For those who may not be aware in 2019 the Newmarket Recreation Department submitted the idea of “National Water Balloon Day” to the official National Day Calendar organization. Out of 10,000 submittals they receive each year, “National Water Balloon Day” was 1 of 30 selected that year! That’s right! National Water Balloon Day is official now and it is celebrated on the 1st Friday of August every year henceforth around the world. Currently the Rec Department celebrates National Water Balloon Day during their Camp Wanna Iguana program by hosting a huge water balloon fight with the campers utilizing over 10,000 balloons. However it has always been the plan to someday get the entire community on board with Newmarket’s new claim to fame!

Can we bring blankets and folding chairs inside the Rec Complex?
We are anticipating that many who attend may bring a blanket or folding beach chair so they can watch the fireworks comfortably – which is why we have designated several safe viewing locations in the Rec Complex for just that very reason. Be sure to stay in the taped off areas and follow all guidelines on the signs for the designated fireworks viewing areas:
- Baseball Right & Center Field
- Basketball Court behind Rec
- Entire Hill in front of Stage.
- Midway Zone 3 (after 8:30PM
Can I bring my dog or pet?
No – the entire complex is already a NO DOGS ALLOWED complex. However, Certified Service Dogs are, of course, allowed.
Do I have to pay the whole suggested price to get in?
We will accept any contribution at the door. The suggested donation prices are $5 per person (under 2 years of age free) & $20 / per immediate family.
Once I am in can I leave the premises and then come back?
Yes, provided you still have your wrist band which you will receive upon entry.
Can I smoke or use e cigarettes?
No the entire complex is already a Non-Smoking Facility.
Can I bring a blanket or chair for the fireworks?
Yes, however, there will be several designated locations to store them prior to opening up the large field for placement closer to the time of the show.
