Lights, camera, action! Roll out the Red Carpet and join us for a night in Hollywood where you are the star of our Annual Date Night Dance! Newmarket Rec extends an exclusive invitation to an evening full of memories, show-stopping decorations, a silver screen snack station, exquisite refreshments, and A-list prizes and raffles. Do not forget to enter the spotlight and strike a pose at our Hollywood-themed backdrop to capture your star moment!
By registering for this event and purchasing a ticket you gain V.I.P access to all the action: themed decorations, a Hollywood backdrop, giveaways/raffles, scrumptious refreshments/snacks, and loads of spotlight-worthy dancing and activities.

Newmarket Recreation will set the stage for this cinematic event at the Newmarket Junior and Senior High Auditorium. The “curtains” open at 6:15 pm, with the star-studded festivities kicking off inside the auditorium from 6:30-8:30 pm. This red-carpet-worthy event, formally known as our Daddy-Daughter or Mother-Son Date Night Dance, is recommended for children ages 4 and up. Thank you for joining us in continuing this memorable Newmarket Recreation tradition of our Date Night Dance.
Please note: Parents of (parent/child) couples are encouraged to bring their own cameras or smartphones. Our staff paparazzi will capture your moment in front of the backdrop with your own camera, ensuring you can take your photos home that very night. In case you forget yours, our staff will have a camera on hand that can be emailed to you after the event.

What do our refreshments include?:
Our snacks/beverages are child-friendly and by no means should be considered dinner. Typically it includes a cheese and cracker board, a fruit platter, a tray of veggies, and a range of desserts (ex. cupcakes, cookies, and candy). Beverages are typically juice and water, NO alcoholic beverages are allowed as this is a child-focused event.

What if I have certain allergies or food restrictions?
As this is a fundraiser event, our budget is very small. We will make our best effort to include substitutions on the buffet table but we can not guarantee we will have enough for all that may require substitutions. If this is the case, you are welcome to bring your own substitute options. If you have any concerns or questions prior or during to the event feel free to reach out to us for any assistance.
What ages are recommended?
Newmarket Recreation invites all to join as there is no minimum age but it is typically recommended for ages 4+ due to the pumping tunes that may be overwhelming for younger children.

Parents are encouraged to bring their cameras or smartphones so our staff paparazzi will be able to capture your moment so that you can take your photos home that very night. But in the case, you forget or do not have yours, our staff will have a camera/mobile phone on hand that can be emailed to you after the event.
